In the book of Revelation it says that there will
be a faith in the end that will bring into unity many of the other faiths.
"And the woman was arrayed in purple and
scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations
and filthiness of her fornication: 5 And
upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF
HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 6 And I saw the
woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of
the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst
thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and
ten horns."
In my messages entitled 'The Mysteries of the Bible' I showed how the word, 'mystery' in the bible stood
for a union of some kind.
When Holy Mysteries were spoken of they were speaking of the Trinity and God and Man in Christ
Jesus (1 Timothy 3:16), Jew and Gentile in Christ (Ephesians 2), Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5)...
And whenever
unholy mysteries were spoken of they were referring to a union of the worst kind like the Unholy Trinity, The Unity of Satan
and the Antichrist, The Union of the Woman that RIDES the
beast.
The AntiChrist will also seek to unify all peoples
under ONE economical (Revelation 13) and ONE Religious Umbrella.(Revelation 17)
But the Preterist doesn't have to worry
about this because Christ has already come and everything is better now!
Mother of Harlots is a term for someone or
something who is unfaithful to the Lord and is the mother, overseer or caretaker over many other Harlots.
Rather than
only look at who the Mother of Harlots is we ought to look at what thinking is allowing this to happen.
The Preterists,
though many Christian have done Christ a great disservice by proclaiming all prophecy in the NT, Revelation included as already
fulfilled because according to them Christ has already come and fulfilled all the prophecies.
This means that according
to them the Mother of Harlots is a thing of the past and the Apostasy mentioned in Second Thessalonians is a thing of the
past. The Preterist has essentially taken away all forewarning of the impending danger ahead.
So for this reason one
that buys into this eschatological view is vulnerable to Satan's Attacks.
"LET NO MAN DECEIVE YOU BY ANY MEANS: for
that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4
Who opposeth and exalteth himself
above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the
temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the MYSTERY OF INIQUITY DOTH ALREADY WORK:
only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord
shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9 Even him, whose coming
is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all
deceivableness of unrighteousness
in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God
shall send them strong delusion, that they should
believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the
truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." (2 Thessalonians 2 KJV)
The Catholic Catechism and the Catholic Council
of Trent makes sure we know that SHE is the mother of all churches and that if bible believing Christians do not believe many
of its extrabiblical creations then they are anathema.
"If anyone says that in the Roman Church, which is the mother
and mistress of all churches, there is not the true doctrine concerning the sacrament of baptism, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA" (Canons
on Baptism, Canon 3).
Then it turns around and proclaims that Christians and Muslims worship the same God (Catholic
Cathechism # 841), uses their Catholic fabrication of Mary as a common point with all the other religions that have created
goddesses, and if this is not already too much the present Pope says,
"In the very search for faith an implicit faith
is already present, and therefore the necessary condition for salvation is already satisfied." (Crossing the Threshold of
Hope)
Funny, that is not what John 3:18 says!
Historically when the Catholic church took over an area they
would assimilate the pagan practices by taking on some of those practices.
Even the deification of women into godesses
was a pagan practice long before Catholicism.
Then we have the Protestant denominations that are now diminishing the
Words of God (Bible) by declaring them to be good words but not reliable and the words of God or placing other extrabiblical
works
on an equal level with scripture. This is part of the apostasy mentioned in Second Thessalonians.
Some people
see the debate that goes on regarding what truth is and get weary about the whole thing and decide to conclude that maybe
we are all right or maybe it really doesn't matter.
Just redefine what Love is and decide that anyone that stands for
the truth is just being unloving.
They think that good works are what it is all about when real love rejoices in the
truth. God wants us to love one another, He commands it but what good is it if you are kind by opening a door that leads
straight
off a cliff?
That cliff is not informing the one you are allegedly loving that there is only one way to heaven and
that one way came from heaven and gave his life for us.
First Corinthians says that one can bestow all ones goods to
feed the poor and even give their body to be burned but still not have love. (1 Corinthians 13)
What many don't realize
is that Love rejoices in the truth (1 Corinthians 13) and that Jesus who was Love incarnate said some very harsh and narrow
minded things while on earth. He said 'narrow is
the way that leads to life but broad is the way that leads to life eternal.'
So if one is on the broad and populated highway they might be wise to consider taking the next exit.
However, the Preterists
need not worry because the World is really getting better since Christ's coming and the apostasy in the church today is really
NOT true, we are simply looking at it wrong.
As for the borg, she has nothing to worry about because most views will
probably be assimilated by her in the end anyhow.
It is important to have discernment in these last days being able
to separate fact from fiction and truth from error. If not then we will be merely a statistic in the big One World Religion
that is even in
its formation stages right now.
"And there are millions of people inside the walls of the church
today who are basically being devastated by the invading and alien armies of the Trojan horses that have been allowed inside
the walls of the church. Now our only defense is to be sound and strong in the
knowledge of the truth. Our only defense
is to be discerning and discriminating. The problem is we live in a time when the climate in the church is intolerant of that,
when to be discriminating and discerning is not popular. The climate in the church today is
actually intolerant toward
discernment. It wants everyone to be loving. It wants to elevate love and unity and non-divisive attitudes, don't say anything
against a brother, don't say anything that is divisive, everyone is entitled to what he wants to believe,
let's be loving,
let's be united. And as I told you last time, Satan knew we wouldn't liberal theology so he sold us liberal hermeneutics which
will eventually get us to their theology. Instead of interpreting the Bible on the basis of a historical grammatical contextual
understanding of the text, we are developing a tolerance for every view in the name of love and unity and a non- divisive
spirit. That is deadly poison to truth."
