My Old Ship that I was stationed on in the seventies, the USS Shreveport is helping with the Hurricane Katrina Relief.
The Shreveport is a Landing Transport Dock that normally fills up
with water with boats coming out of its stern
to land marines on
shore.
Its good to see that it is helping victims of Katrina.
These ships can also provide
shelter for these victims as well.
I hope that they consider that option.
The Shreveport is stationed in Norfolk Virginia.
CBN/700 Club/Operation Blessing is nearby and I did some phone counseling for them in the seventies.
Their Operation Blessing is providing disaster relief for the Hurricane Victims.
