Living Word of God (John 1; 1 John 1:1)

Tradition:
15 So then, brethren, stand firm and hold
to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter. (2 Thess.
2)
|
Scripture:
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable
for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God MAY
BE PERFECT, throughly furnished unto all good works.
(2 Timothy 3) |
Gifts:
But as for prophecies, they will come to
an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end. 9 For we
know only in part, and we prophesy only in part...
11 When
I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child;...
12 For
now we see in a mirror, dimly, ...
Now I know only in part;...
|
Love:
...and yet shew I unto you A MORE EXCELLENT WAY (1
Cor. 12)
Love never ends... (1 Corinthians 13)
10 but when the
complete comes, the partial will come to an end.
when I became an adult, I put an end to childish ways.
but then we will see face to face.
then I will know fully, even as I have been fully
known. 13 And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these
is love. |
Apostles (Sent):
Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared
also to me. 9 For I am the least of the apostles...(1 Corinthians 15)
And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and
fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. (Acts 2)
|
Missionaries (Sent):
Apostles must have seen the resurrected Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:8,9; Acts 1)
Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained
to be a witness with us of his resurrection. 23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas,
who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. 24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts
of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen, 25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship,
from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. 26 And they gave forth their
lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles. (Acts 1) |
Prophets and Prophecy:
But as for prophecies, they will come to an end...For we
know only in part, and we prophesy only in part; (1 Corinthians 13)
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists;
and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for
the edifying of the body of Christ: ... |
The Perfect Thing (Greek Interlinear):
when the complete comes, the partial will come
to an end. (1 Cor. 13)
The law of Jehovah is PERFECT, restoring the soul: The testimony of Jehovah is sure, making wise the simple. (Psalm
19)
13 Till we all come in the
unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness
of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind
of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But
speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even
Christ: 16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth,
according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of
itself in love. (Ephesians 4) |
Heaven and Earth
Heaven and earth will pass away, |
The Word of God:
but my words will not pass away. (Mark 13:31)
|
Israel:
..To the Jew First...(Romans 1:16)
and when James and Cephas and John, who were acknowledged pillars, recognized
the grace that had been given to me, they gave to Barnabas and me the right hand of fellowship, agreeing that we should go
to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised. (Galatians 2)
|
Body of Christ:
Lest you be wise in your own conceits, I want you to understand
this mystery, brethren: a hardening has come upon part of Israel, until the full number of the Gentiles
come in,
For God has consigned all men to disobedience, that he may
have mercy upon all. (Romans 11) |
