Still Under Construction
Preterism:
Contrary to dispensationalism's view of the Church Age being unforeseen by the prophets of the Old Testament, consider
the following:
Acts 2:16-17
But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; [17] And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God,I will
pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions,
and your old men shall dream dreams:
Acts 3:24-26
Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these
days. [25] Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham,
And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. [26] Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent
him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
Acts 15:14-18
Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. [15] And to
this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, [16] After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle
of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: [17] That the residue of men
might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
[18] Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
Galatians 3:8
And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham,
saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
Contrary to dispensationalism's view that the kingdom promises refer to national
Israel rather than to the Church as the New Israel of God, consider the following:
Romans 2:28-29
For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: [29] But he is
a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is
not of men, but of God.
Galatians 3:28-29
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in
Christ Jesus. [29] And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Galatians 6:16
And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
Ephes. 2:12-22
That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants
of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: [13] But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made
nigh by the blood of Christ. [14] For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition
between us; [15] Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make
in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; [16] And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross,
having slain the enmity thereby: [17] And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
[18] For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. [19] Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners,
but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; [20] And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and
prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; [21] In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto
an holy temple in the Lord: [22] In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Philip. 3:3
For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the
flesh.
1 Peter 2:5-9
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable
to God by Jesus Christ. [6] Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect,
precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. [7] Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto
them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, [8] And a stone
of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
[9] But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises
of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Dispensationalism:
Failure to see the distinction between the two great programs in the New Testament leads to many misunderstandings,
including Preterism.
Still, Preterism goes much further in their deceptions, believing that Christ has come back already, satan
is crushed and we are presently living in the Millenium.
They must take scripture figuratively to do this. (Acts 1:11)
The Mysteries were not revealed in the Old Testament and were revealed primarily to the apostle Paul.
The scripture in the left hand column are referring to Israel, baptism for salvation (Acts 2)
The prophecy in Joel was fulfilled in Acts Two and was referring to 'your sons and daughters' meaning Israel
and was fulfilled at Pentecost.
3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as
I wrote afore in few words, 4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery
of Christ) 5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy
apostles and prophets by the Spirit; 6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of
the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: 7 Whereof I was made a minister,
according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. (Eph. 3:1-4).
Concerning the kingdom on earth Zacharias said:
"Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for He hath visited and redeemed His people,
"And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David;
"AS HE SPAKE BY THE MOUTH OF HIS HOLY PROPHETS, WHICH HAVE BEEN SINCE THE WORLD BEGAN" (Luke 1:68-70).
Again at Pentecost, Peter, speaking of the absence of Christ and of the signs of His return, said:
"Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, WHICH GOD HATH SPOKEN BY THE
MOUTH OF ALL HIS HOLY PROPHETS SINCE THE WORLD BEGAN."
"YEA, AND ALL THE PROPHETS FROM SAMUEL AND THOSE THAT FOLLOW AFTER, AS MANY AS HAVE SPOKEN, HAVE LIKEWISE
FORETOLD OF THESE DAYS" (Acts 3:21,24).
But concerning the body of Christ, with its heavenly calling and position, not one word is to be found in
the pages of prophecy. Indeed, God kept this great purpose a secret until He was ready to bring the body itself into
being, and then He revealed it first to the Apostle Paul. The apostle says of this great purpose, that it was:
"KEPT SECRET SINCE THE WORLD BEGAN" (Rom. 16:2.5).
"A MYSTERY . . . ORDAINED BEFORE THE WORLD UNTO OUR GLORY" (I Cor. 2:7).
"IN OTHER AGES... NOT MADE KNOWN" (Eph. 3:5).
"FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE WORLD HID IN GOD" (Eph. 3:9).
"HID FROM AGES AND FROM GENERATIONS" (Col. 1:26).
Manifestly there is a great difference between that which was "spoken by the mouth of all [God's] holy
prophets since the world began" and that which was "kept secret since the world began."

Contrary to dispensationalism, Christ did establish His kingdom in the first century:
Mark 1:15
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
Mark 9:1
And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death,
till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
Luke 11:20
But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.
Luke 17:20-21
And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom
of God cometh not with observation: [21] Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is
within you.
John 18:33-37
Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews? [34]
Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me? [35] Pilate answered, Am I a Jew?
Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? [36] Jesus answered, My kingdom is
not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews:
but now is my kingdom not from hence. [37] Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest
that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth.
Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
Col. 1:13
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
Contrary to dispensationalism, Christ is now enthroned and ruling over His kingdom:
Acts 2:29-35
Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre
is with us unto this day. [30] Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the
fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; [31] He seeing this before spake
of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. [32] This Jesus hath
God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. [33] Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of
the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. [34] For David is not ascended
into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, [35] Until I make thy foes
thy footstool.
Romans 8:34
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God,
who also maketh intercession for us.
Hebrews 1:3
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his
power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Hebrews 10:12-13
But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; [13] From henceforth
expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
Rev. 1:5-6
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of
the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, [6] And hath made us kings and priests unto
God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Rev. 3:21
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father
in his throne.
Contrary to dispensationalism and historic premillennialism, Christ's kingdom
is not an earthly-political kingdom, but a spiritual-redemptive kingdom:
Luke 17:20-21
And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom
of God cometh not with observation: [21] Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is
within you.
John 18:36-37
Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I
should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. [37] Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a
king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world,
that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
Romans 14:17
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Contrary to dispensationalism and historic premillennialism, Satan was bound
in the first century:
Matthew 12:28-29
But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. [29] Or else how can one enter
into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
Luke 10:18
And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
John 12:31
Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
Col. 2:15
And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Hebrews 2:14
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through
death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
1 John 3:8
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested,
that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Contrary to dispensationalism, historic premillennialism, and amillennialism,
the Great Tribulation occurred in the first century (at the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem):
Matthew 24:34
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
Matthew 24:2
And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon
another, that shall not be thrown down.
Matthew 24:15
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso
readeth, let him understand:)
Matthew 24:21
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall
be.
Rev. 1:1
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass;
and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
Rev. 1:3
Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein:
for the time is at hand.
Rev. 1:9
I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in
the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Rev. 3:10
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon
all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
Rev. 7:14
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have
washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Contrary to dispensationalism, historic premillennialism, and amillennialism,
the Church will not fail in its task of evangelizing the world:
Matthew 13:31-32
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took,
and sowed in his field: [32] Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs,
and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
Matthew 16:18
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not
prevail against it.
Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. [19] Go ye therefore, and
teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] Teaching them to
observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Contrary to dispensationalism, historic premillennialism, and amillennialism,
Christ's redemptive labors will hold a universal sway in the world before the end of contemporary history:
Matthew 13:31-32
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took,
and sowed in his field: [32] Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs,
and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
John 1:29
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
John 3:17
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 4:42
And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this
is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.
John 12:31-32
Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. [32] And I, if I be lifted up from the
earth, will draw all men unto me.
1 Cor. 15:20-26
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. [21] For since by man came death,
by man came also the resurrection of the dead. [22] For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. [23]
But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. [24] Then cometh the
end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority
and power. [25] For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. [26] The last enemy that shall be destroyed
is death.
2 Cor. 5:17-21
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
[18] And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
[19] To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath
committed unto us the word of reconciliation. [20] Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by
us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. [21] For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that
we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Hebrews 1:3
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his
power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Hebrews 1:13
But to which of the angels said he at any times, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
Hebrews 10:12-13
But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; [13] From henceforth
expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
Contrary to dispensationalism and historic premillennialism, there is but one
resurrection and one judgment, which occur simultaneously at the end of history:
Daniel 12:2
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting
contempt.
Matthew 24:31-32
And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds,
from one end of heaven to the other. [32] Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth
forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
John 5:28-29
Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, [29] And shall
come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of
damnation.
John 6:39-40
And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should
raise it up again at the last day. [40] And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and
believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 11:40
Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
Acts 24:15
And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the
just and unjust.
Contrary to dispensationalism and historic premillennialism, when Christ
comes, history will end:
Matthew 13:29-30
But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
[30] Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first
the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
1 Cor. 15:20-25
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. [21]
For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. [22] For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ
shall all be made alive. [23] But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at
his coming. [24] Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have
put down all rule and all authority and power. [25] For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
1 Thes. 4:13-17
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that
ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. [14] For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also
which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. [15] For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive
and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. [16] For the Lord himself shall descend from
heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
[17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The Kingdom of hand was at hand, but this was referring to Israel and their acceptance of Messiah of which they rejected,
thereby putting them on the same level with the Gentile.
Preterists believe that Christ came back in A.D. 70 and established his kingdom, which would not explain why 'every eye'
didn't see him as prophesied. (Revelation 1:7;Matthew 24:30,31)
Some saw the Kingdom come with power at the Mount of Transfiguration.
" "
Still, one gospel account of the transfiguration left more to come.
" "
This however is not the kingdom and is not about the body of Christ, the program that the apostle Paul was entrusted
with. (Romans 16:25)
They ignore the rest of scripture which says:
22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come,
when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. 23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. 24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto
the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.(Luke 17)
In other words, it will not be in only one location but worldwide.
