The Following Is A Study Of The Book Of Acts (Chapter By chapter) In Three Languages: English, Spanish And Portuguese

Acts Three: God's Universal Grace:

Saved By God's Universal Grace

Most Scriptural References I Make Are Posted In Their Entirety At The Bottom Of This Message.

In A Nutshell:

God Has Declared All In Disobedience And Unbelief, So That He Might Have Mercy On All. (Romans 11:32; Romans 5:18,19; 2 Corinthians 5:14,15)

Though He Went To The Jew First, (No Longer Only) No Group Can Claim God Has Shown Favouritism To Them And Damned The Rest.

This Is Why Calvinism Or Any Kind Of System That Claims That God Shows Favouritism To A Few And Leaves The Rest To Perish Is Unscriptural And Unloving.

"When Peter saw this, he said to them: "Men of Israel, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? 13 The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, (Isaiah 53; Messiah Not Israel Is Righteous Servant In This Passage) and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go. 14 You disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you. (John 1:12,13) 15 You killed the author of life, (1 Corinthians 2:7,8) but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this (One Requirement For An Apostle, Even Paul-Acts 1; 1 Cor. 15) ....25 And you are heirs of the prophets and of the covenant God made with your fathers. He said to Abraham, 'Through your offspring all peoples on earth will be blessed.' 26 When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you (Romans 1:18; 2:9-11; 3:23,24) to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways." (Acts 3)

Age 3:25 - 26

This Rejection Of Jesus By Israel Is A Process That We See Happening Throughout Romans And Acts.

Israel Rejected John, Jesus And Stephen And The Prophets Of Old Testament Times.

In Fact In My Conversations With Unbelieving Karaite Jews They Have Claimed Israel Is Righteous Not Evil.

But 1 Kings 19:10 And Isaiah 1:4 Refutes That.

Then We Have Romans 11:24-32; Acts 13:46 That Says By The Rejection Of Messiah By Israel The Gentiles Would Be Shown Mercy As Well.

God Has Declared All In Disobedience So That He Might Have Mercy On All. (Romans 11:32)

So In the Book Of Acts We Have Peter And Paul Pointing Out The Unbelief And Guilt Of Israel To Show That NOW God Is Going To Have Mercy On All.

This Is Not Grounds To Persecute Israel Because We Are All Now Guilty.

Today It Is Not Focused Only On The Jew But On 'Whosoever Will Believe'

Though In The End The Promises To Israel Will Resume And Be Fulfilled Because Of God's Not Israel's Faithfulness. (Ezekiel 36)

This Is Not Replacement Theology Because God Will Resume And Fulfill His Promises To Israel In The End. The Promises To Israel Have Only Been Delayed. (Romans 11:24-32; Luke 21:20-24)

My Messages Entitled: 'You're A Hopeless Replacement Theologian At:

And The Document I Posted At:

Show What Replacement Theology Is.

As Verse 25,26 Says, The Nations Were Supposed To Be Blessed Through Israel's Acceptance Of Messiah (Acts 13:47) But Instead Israel's Rejection Of Messiah Showed '22 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.' (Romans 3)

"Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: "We had to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles. 47 For this is what the Lord has commanded us: "'I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.'" 48 When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed. 49 The word of the Lord spread through the whole region." (Acts 13)

"No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory." (1 Corinthians 2:7,8)

"He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God-- 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God." (John 1)

"There he (Elijah) went into a cave and spent the night. 10 He replied, "I have been very zealous for the Lord God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, broken down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too." (1 Kings 19:10)

"4 Ah, sinful nation, a people loaded with guilt, a brood of evildoers, children given to corruption! They have forsaken the Lord; they have spurned the Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on him." (Isaiah 1)

"16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.... 9 There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; 10 but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 11 For God does not show favoritism. ...This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.' " (Romans 1,2,3,)

"After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree! 25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. 27 And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins." 28 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies on your account; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, 29 for God's gifts and his call are irrevocable. 30 Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, 31 so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God's mercy to you. 32 For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.

33 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! 34 "Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?" 35 "Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?" 36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen." (Romans 11)

Praise God For His Mercy Toward All Of Us.

The Following Chart Shows How The Axe Of The Apostles Refutes Many False Teachings.

You've Heard Of The 'Sword Of The Spirit' And The 'Acts Of The Apostles', This Is The Axe Of The Apostles That Makes Kindling Out Of Every False Doctrine Out There.

Preterism Refuted: The Scripture To The Right Not Only Refutes The Preterist Rejection Of The Physical Return Of Christ But Any False Belief That Doesn't Teach The Same Jesus Coming Back In The Same Way He Left.(Also Check Out Zechariah 14)
Preterists Also Don't Believe The Plain Sense Of Scripture In Acts Two. They Believe That The Signs On Earth And Heaven Occured In Acts Two And AD 70. But They Must Make The Signs In Heaven And Some Signs On Earth Invisible And/Or Allegorical Because No One Saw Them Take Place.
The Bible Believer However Believes The The Signs In Heaven Have A Yet Future Fulfillment When Christ Physically Comes Back.
Scripture:
"Men of Galilee,' they said, 'why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the ." Mount of Olives." , a Sabbath day's walk from the city." (Acts 1:11) Also:
16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 17 "'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. 18 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. 20 The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. 21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. '(Acts 2)
Oneness Heresy Refuted:
In the Scripture To The Right We See That Peter Is Condemning And Offering Salvation To Israel Of That Day. Notice The Order. This Is Not The Same As The Order Of Acts 10:44-48. This Is Because Acts Ten Is Speaking To Gentiles. The Oneness Heresy Applies What Was To The 'House Of Israel' To Them.
Next, Oneness Rejects The Plain Sense Of The Trinity When They Don't Recognize Two Lords.
Scripture:
36 "Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ." 37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?" 38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off--for all whom the Lord our God will call."
Next They Reject The Trinity:
"34 For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said, "'The Lord said to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand 35 until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.'" 36 "Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ." (Acts 2)
Present Day Apostolic Succession Refuted:
In The Scriptures To The Right, Apostolic Succession Is Only For 1) Those That Witnessed The Resurrection Or Resurrected Christ
2) To Replace Judas
3) Because Scripture Prophesied This
4) To Bring The Number Up To Twelve (Also Luke 22:30)
The Mormon Or Catholic Priesthood Doesn't Fulfill These Requirements
Scripture:
"For," said Peter, " it is written in the book of Psalms , "'May his place be deserted; let there be no one to dwell in it,' 20 and, "' May another take his place of leadership .' 21 Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have been with us the whole time the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, 22 beginning from John's baptism to the time when Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection. " 23 So they proposed two men: Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) and Matthias. 24 Then they prayed, "Lord, you know everyone's heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen 25 to take over this apostolic ministry, which Judas left to go where he belongs." 26 Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias; so he was added to the eleven apostles.
Replacement Theology Refuted: The Replacement Theologian Replaces Israel With The Church,The Plain Sense Of Scripture With Nonsense Or One Truth Of Scripture With Another. In The Following Example, The Calvinist Replaces The Human Side For The Divine Side. They Believe The Total Sovereignty Of God Replaces 'Man's Responsibility To Respond To His Ability.' In The Verse Next Door It Says That Christ Was Crucified:
1)'by God's set purpose and foreknowledge'
And 2)'with the help of wicked men' Not To Mention That Christ Says That 'No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father." (John 10)
Scripture:
23 This man was handed over to you by God's set purpose and foreknowledge ; and you, with the help of wicked men , put him to death by nailing him to the cross.
Jehovah's Witnesses Refuted:
The Verses Next Door Show That Christ Physically Resurrected. JW's Don't Believe This. The Verses In Acts One Show That 'He Gave Many Convincing Proofs' And Ate With Them. A Spirit Cannot Do This. (Also Luke 24 And John 20:27-31)
Scripture:
"After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. 4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about." (Acts One)

1:16 Irmãos, convinha que se cumprisse a escritura que o Espírito Santo predisse pela boca de Davi, acerca de Judas, que foi o guia daqueles que prenderam a Jesus;

1 The former account I made, O Theophilus, (Acts 1:1; Luke 1:3;Theo-'God' Philus-'Friend of'Appears To Be The Same Person (Luke Is Speaking To Or The One That Is Taking Dictation In The Book Of Luke And Acts) of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

2 until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen,

3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, (John 20:27-31; Luke 24-These Scriptures Refute JW Teaching That Christ Didn't Physically Resurrect)being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, (Jn. 14:6ff)"which," He said, "you have heard from Me;

5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized (immersed)with the Holy Spirit not many days from now." (Acts 2)

6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, "Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?"

7 And He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.

8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." (Whole Book Of Acts Records This Proclamation Of The Gospel)

9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel,

11 who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven." (These Scriptures Refutes One Basic Teaching Of Preterism)

12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, (Zechariah 14:4ff) which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey.

13 And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying: Peter, James, John, and Andrew; Philip and Thomas; Bartholomew and Matthew; James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot; and Judas the son of James.

14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication,  with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

(Not Cousins, But Brothers Of Jesus. This Refutes Teaching Of The Perpetual Virginity Of Mary)

15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples  (altogether the number of names was about a hundred and twenty), and said,

16 "Men and brethren, this Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus;

17 for he was numbered with us and obtained a part in this ministry."

18 (Now this man purchased a field with the wages of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his entrails gushed out.

19 And it became known to all those dwelling in Jerusalem; so that field is called in their own language, Akel Dama, that is, Field of Blood.)

20 "For it is written in the book of Psalms: 'Let his dwelling place be desolate, And let no one live in it'; and, 'Let another take his office.'  (Psalm 109:8; Psalm 69:22-28: Luke 22:30-12 Needed To Judge 12 Tribes)

21 "Therefore, of these men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

22 beginning from the baptism of John to that day when He was taken up from us, one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection." (Apostle Must Have Seen The Resurrected Jesus-(1 Corinthians 15:6-9))

23 And they proposed two: Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

24 And they prayed and said, "You, O Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which of these two You have chosen

25 to take part in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place." (Where Did He Go?-Psalm 69:28)

26 And they cast their lots, and the lot fell on Matthias. And he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

This Is Not A Precedent For Mormon Or Catholic Apostolic Succession.

In Acts 12 James The Brother Of John Is Killed But Not Replaced.

2:17 E acontecerá nos últimos dias, diz o Senhor, que derramarei do meu Espírito sobre toda a carne; e os vossos filhos e as vossas filhas profetizarão, os vossos mancebos terão visões, os vossos anciãos terão sonhos;

2:22 Varões israelitas, escutai estas palavras: A Jesus, o nazareno, varão aprovado por Deus entre vós com milagres, prodígios e sinais, que Deus por ele fez no meio de vós, como vós mesmos bem sabeis;

2:23 a este, que foi entregue pelo determinado conselho e presciência de Deus, vós matastes, crucificando-o pelas mãos de iníquos;

2:25 Porque dele fala Davi: Sempre via diante de mim o Senhor, porque está à minha direita, para que eu não seja abalado;

2:26 por isso se alegrou o meu coração, e a minha língua exultou; e além disso a minha carne há de repousar em esperança;

2:27 pois não deixarás a minha alma no hades, nem permitirás que o teu Santo veja a corrupção;

2:41 De sorte que foram batizados os que receberam a sua palavra; e naquele dia agregaram-se quase três mil almas;

1 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.

2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.

3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.

4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

5 Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven.

6 When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking in his own language.

7 Utterly amazed, they asked: "Are not all these men who are speaking Galileans?

8 Then how is it that each of us hears them in his own native language?

9 Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,

10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome

11 (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs--we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!"

12 Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, "What does this mean?"

13 Some, however, made fun of them and said, "They have had too much wine."

14 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: "Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say.

15 These men are not drunk, as you suppose. It's only nine in the morning!

16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

17 "'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.

21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'

22 "Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.

23 This man was handed over to you by God's set purpose and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross.

24 But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.

25 David said about him: "'I saw the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

26 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will live in hope,

27 because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay.

28 You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.'

29 "Brothers, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day.

30 But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.

31 Seeing what was ahead, he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to the grave, nor did his body see decay.

32 God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact.

33 Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.

34 For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said, "'The Lord said to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand

35 until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.'"

36 "Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."

37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?"

38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off--for all whom the Lord our God will call."

40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation."

41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

43 Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles.

44 All the believers were together and had everything in common.

45 Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need.

46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,

47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

.

22 "Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know--

23 Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death;

24 whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.

2:25 Porque dele fala Davi: Sempre via diante de mim o Senhor, porque está à minha direita, para que eu não seja abalado;

2:26 por isso se alegrou o meu coração, e a minha língua exultou; e além disso a minha carne há de repousar em esperança;

.

25 For David says concerning Him: 'I foresaw the Lord always before my face, For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken.

26 Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad; Moreover my flesh also will rest in hope.

27 For You will not leave my soul in Hades, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.

28 You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.'

29 "Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.

30 Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,

 31 he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption.

32 This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.

33 Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.

34 For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself: 'The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand,

35 Till I make Your enemies Your footstool."

.

36 "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."

37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?"

38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."

40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation."

2:41 De sorte que foram batizados os que receberam a sua palavra; e naquele dia agregaram-se quase três mil almas;

.

41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. 46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.
