When Did the Church Begin Pt. 2

I posed some questions in the Christianity Under Fire group in February?

Here are a few of them, then the answer:

Other than a few pushy Gentiles, when were Non Jews actually and finally included in the plan of salvation and was the plan for the Jews the same as the plan for the Non Jews?

5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. (Matthew 10)

8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)

9 And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision. (Galatians 2)

45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days. (Acts 10)

Why is all of this important?

Because if, someone thinks the church began earlier than it did and THEREFORE what Peter preached to 'all the house of Israel' applies to the church, which has Jews and Gentiles, they could be preaching the wrong thing to unbelievers today.

The United Pentecostals, Church of Christ, Catholics, JW's ..are preaching the wrong message partly because they are taking what Peter said to Israel (Acts 2) and applying it to the church.
